Missing your klezmer dose?
Guaranteed to cure lockdown blues, the Klezmer Rebs are back on stage in Wellington on Saturday 14 November at the Polish Xmas Market in Newtown.
Eager to get those tuchases shaking, the Rebs bring their Eastern European vibe in a return to live performance at the annual Polish market with their first set of the year (since playing the Taupo Jazz Festival in January).
Catch the Rebs set Saturday afternoon (time to be confirmed) the 14th of November at Dom Polski 257 Riddiford Street (corner Rhodes), Newtown, Wellington.

Montreux at the bottom of the world?
Taupo is hosting the first ever Taupo Jazz Festival on 18 January (Wellington Anniversary weekend) featuring the River City Jazzmen, Reuben Bradley and the Great Lake Big Band. The Rebs will be 8 strong featuring Urs on clarinet, Alex on violin, Rob bass, Amanda helicon/drums, Emma accordian and vocals, Rose piano and vocals and David guitar and mandolin and vocals.

This just in – The Klezmer Rebs have been invited to perform at CubaDupa on Saturday 28 March 2020. We will do a roving/marching klezmer set as well as perform on one of the stages. The following day on Sunday 29th we will perform at Karori’s lovely venue Futuna at 1pm.

Multicultural festival in plimmerton sunday 15 september
If you are wanting an injection of culture from the many communities around Porirua, come to Plimmerton Hall from 4-6pm Sunday 15 September. There will be food, ethnic dance/music items, and performances by Sounds Like Us and the Klezmer Rebs. It is in support of young progressive independent candidate for Porirua City Council’s Northern Ward Rabeea Inayatullah. Gold coin entry.

Join the march against racism on 18 May 2019 starting at Civic Square in Wellington. Then, at the end of the march, at Pukeahu Park, dance with your comrades to the Klezmer Rebs live.
